EMC's annual customer/partner/IT industry fest is happening in Boston this week.
A few shots.

The concert was cool. Great music. Flowing beverages. Neon-purple-blinking-horned Viking hats. (Not sure about why Neon-Blinking-Viking-Hats were there, but it added some good geek vibe.) Afterward, a bunch of bloggers in the IT/Storage/EMC universe got together. Those meet ups are always nice. It is kind of like hanging out with a group of friends who "see" each other enough that conversation is natural, not forced. The funny thing of course is that we rarely "see" each other in person. We live in different locations, and just as often work at different companies.

As awesome as the concert was last night, the view when I arrived this morning took my breath away. I still remember the day, some time around 1995, a toll taker on the Mass Turnpike noticed my employee badge on the dashboard while I passed through to hand him my 35 cents. He said, "Hey EMC. I know you guys." I was like, "Wow. This non-IT guy has heard of us!"
--------------- Talk Back --------------------
Do you have an opportunity to hang out with your customers ... even if you're not a salesperson? In-person .. and/or on-line ... keeps things real ... and for me, helps me appreciate SCALE.
