Does business really have to be so Macho? Or so proud?
Does that behavior drive business, or in fact, hurt business?
Two great posts came out this week on the subject. I highly encourage you to read them both.
"Why Friends Matter in Work and Life" by Peter Bregman on HBR.
"The Challenge of Opening Your Company" by Chuck Hollis of EMC.
In Peter's post, he included a link to this YouTube clip, where the people competing in reality TV shows -- "to win" -- continue to boast what they think is the way to win. Wow.
-------- Talk Back --------
Did these posts speak to you?
What is your take away?
How would you answer my opening questions?
I'll close by sharing a line I use perhaps a bit too frequently on this subject,
"Customer satisfaction does not begin with the customer."
@pollypearson on Twitter.
Thanks for reading and engaging -- and for those in America, Happy 4th of July!
